turned tourist town, with two C\u00e9sar Manrique-designed landmarks at its heart and a genuine, walkable centre rather than a strip of hotels. It rewards a little planning, and it is well worth it.<\/p>\n      <p>The town's two big draws \u2014 <strong>Playa Jard\u00edn<\/strong> and the <strong>Lago Marti\u00e1nez<\/strong> seawater pool complex \u2014 are linked by a flat, paved seafront promenade around <strong>2.5 kilometres<\/strong> long, roughly a 30-minute walk end to end and easy scooter territory. Playa Jard\u00edn has an accessible route from the car park down to the sand, adapted showers and changing rooms, and lifeguard cover; Lago Marti\u00e1nez has step-free access around most of the complex and adapted bathrooms with grab bars. Both are worth building a day around.<\/p>\n      <p>Away from the seafront, the <strong>historic old town<\/strong> \u2014 the streets around La Ranilla and Casco Antiguo \u2014 is genuinely charming but has narrow, cobbled streets and real gradients in places.
