How Moovyrent collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website and hire mobility equipment from us.

Who we are

This website is operated by Moovy Rent (Miranda Tencad SL, tax ID B-38886008), Av. de los Chincanayros 37, Icod de los Vinos, 38434 Santa Cruz de Tenerife. What data we collect

Booking data: your name, contact details, accommodation address in Tenerife, delivery and collection dates, the equipment you hire and, where relevant, details needed to size it correctly (such as the user's height and weight).
Payment data: payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our servers.
Contact data: the information you send us by form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
Technical data: the strictly necessary cookies that keep your booking in the basket and remember your language, and the server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) kept for security. If you accept statistics cookies, we also use Google Analytics to measure visits and how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, type of device). We do not use advertising cookies (see our cookies policy).

How we use your data

To process and fulfil your equipment hire, including delivery, setup and collection.
To communicate with you about your booking and provide support during your hire.
To take payment and issue receipts and invoices.
To comply with our legal and tax obligations.
To improve the website and our service.

We process your booking data on the legal basis of performing our contract with you; technical data and server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working; certain records on the basis of our legal obligations; and website statistics (Google Analytics) only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share personal data where necessary to provide the service: our payment provider to process payments, our email/hosting providers to operate the site and send confirmations, Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics) for website statistics if you accept them, and public authorities where the law requires it. Google may process this data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required by Spanish tax and commercial law, and other data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. After that it is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hola@moovyrent.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

Data security

The site uses HTTPS encryption, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
